This website is made by me. However, various inspirations and resources from others were used while making this website.

Tools Used

Hosting

This website is hosted via Neocities.

Framework

This website is built using SvelteKit. Once I finish what I need in the source code, I build this website using the static adapter, then push my changes using Neocities' command line tool.

Other Tools

I also installed the svelte-persisted-store package to help with persistent data for across tabs and page changes. I'm using it for settings.

Another package that I installed is the open sans font from Fontsource, so I don't have to maintain a font file.

Another tool that was helpful is cssgradient.io.

Assets Used

Even though I want to use my own images, I'm using others' images for now until I can provide my own.

Images

The background image used by the default theme, Jungle, is by Oliver Sjöström. The video for the Waterfall theme background is by Be the Observer. The video for the Tea theme background is by Taryn Elliott. The default image for the headers is made by Martin Péchy.

Navigation Bar Icons

The icons used in the navigation bar and favicon are from KDE's Oxygen Icon Theme.

Font

The font used for this website is Open Sans made by Steve Matteson.

Inspiration

Other Websites

Websites that I have taken inspiration from was Solinus' Website and Frutiger Aero, also on Neocities. These two websites have pointed me in the right direction. Frutiger Aero is kind of the aesthetic I wanted to pull off, flat and minimal design rarely to be seen. Thank you to Solinus and Kantraa for their websites. If you also want to try and do the same, there's also tutorials on their website.

References

Besides just the aesthetic of Frutiger Aero, I particularly took inspiration from the UI of 2000s operating systems. In particular, Microsoft Windows 7 (I guess it's pretty obvious with the borders, huh?) and early Mac OS X. I used screenshots from the Microsoft and Mac OS X wikis as inspiration for some of the designs. Thanks to Mr.Follow, Adespoton, and other contributors for the high-quality images! I also think some blood from pre-7 iOS and Elementary OS falls under here too. Things like images being "cut out" to show more stuff underneath.
